Wray & Nephew Introduces UK-Exclusive Rum: Wray’s 43

Wray & Nephew has unveiled Wray’s 43, a UK-exclusive white Jamaican rum with a 43% ABV, marking its first new release in the region in years. As the brand celebrates 200 years of rum-making, this limited-edition expression caters to growing demand for full-flavored yet easy-to-mix spirits.

A Lighter Yet Bold Rum Experience

Known for its legendary Overproof rum bottled at 63% ABV, Wray & Nephew crafted Wray’s 43 to offer a smoother drinking experience without compromising on taste. Unlike a diluted version of its Overproof counterpart, Wray’s 43 presents a distinct expression with naturally sweet notes and the bold character that defines Wray & Nephew rums.

Flavor Profile & Perfect Pairings

This new blend of unaged Jamaican white rums delivers rich fruit flavors, charred pineapple, and hints of molasses. Its smooth yet robust profile makes it ideal for mixing with pineapple juice, ginger ale, or coconut water.

The brand’s signature serve, Wray’s 43 & Pineapple, brings out the tropical essence of the rum. Simply mix 25ml of Wray’s 43 with pineapple juice and garnish with fresh pineapple or a lime wedge for a refreshing, flavorful drink.

A Commitment to Authenticity

David Morrison, Deputy Master Blender at J Wray & Nephew, expressed to The Spirits Business enthusiasm for this latest addition:

“The launch of Wray’s 43 is an exciting new exploration for us. We have listened to our community and are providing rum lovers with a fresh way to experience the tropical flavors of Jamaican rum while staying true to the product’s authenticity. Full flavor guaranteed.

Where to Buy Wray’s 43

Wray’s 43 is now available exclusively in the UK through Booker for convenience store distribution and Amazon for direct consumer purchases. The rum retails at £25 (US$32).

Wray & Nephew’s Legacy Continues

Established in 1825, Wray & Nephew remains one of the world’s best-selling rum brands. The company continues to strengthen its influence, not only through innovative rum releases but also by supporting communities. Last year, it launched the third edition of Wray Forward, a program dedicated to funding and mentoring Black-owned businesses in the UK.
