As part of Bar Convent Berlin (BCB), the largest international gathering for the bar and beverage industry, Women Leading Rum & Spirits will host the seminar “Crafting the Future: Diversity & Innovation Seen Through Women’s Eyes,” a must-attend conversation on female leadership, innovation, and diversity in the world of rum and spirits.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the Embassy Bar. It will bring together four global leaders who are redefining the direction of the industry:

  • Larissa Arjona, President and Co-Founder of Women Leading Rum & Spirits (WLR&S), Export Marketing Manager at Ron Abuelo
  • Alexandra Alfaro, Corporate Marketing Director at Licorera de Guatemala, Director of WLR&S for Latin America
  • Fannie Thibaud, Creation & Experimentation Manager at Maison Ferrand – Angelica Schwarzkopf, Brand Ambassador of the Year 2025, hospitality expert and educator, member of DBU.

This event not only showcases female talent but also fosters new narratives about innovation, sustainability, and community. Larissa Arjona, president of WLR&S, said:

“This gathering at BCB is not just a talk, it’s a statement. Women are leading with vision, sensitivity, and strategy. We want the world of rum and spirits to be more inclusive, more diverse, and more connected to the realities of those who inhabit it. This space is for us, but also for all those who believe in a fairer and more creative industry.”

Since its inception, Women Leading Rum & Spirits has been a platform for empowerment, training, and connection for women at all levels of the industry. Its presence at BCB Berlin—an event that brings together professionals from more than 90 countries—marks a milestone in the internationalization of its message.

With BCB’s global expansion to Brooklyn and London, this talk becomes a beacon for future generations of leaders seeking to transform the industry through authenticity, collaboration, and innovation.
