English-based rum label, Vapoura, recently unveiled a fresh addition to its product line at the renowned Frameless art gallery in the heart of London.
This event, enriched with the synergy of music and art, featured DJs and artists to showcase a unique digital art presentation, harmoniously blended with rum-infused cocktails. The gallery showcased a special segment, termed as Vapoura’s “liquid story”, wherein the brand’s master distiller, John Walters, took the attendees through an enlightening journey of the rum’s manufacturing process.
Named ‘Vapoura Gold Rum‘, this new spirit boasts an alcohol content of 42% and is characterized by delightful flavors of vanilla, complemented with subtle undertones of tobacco and chocolate. The release of this rum follows the brand’s initial offering, ‘Vapoura Spiced Rum’, which was introduced to the market in June of this year.
Meticulously distilled in limited quantities employing the age-old copper pot still technique, the Vapoura Gold Rum is available for purchase at a price of £65 (or US$79) on the brand’s official website.
While this rum can be relished in its pure form, the brand encourages rum aficionados to experiment with it in mixology, suggesting a fusion of Port and Chocolate Old Fashioned as an inventive rendition of an age-old classic.
On the other hand, Vapoura’s maiden product, the Spiced Rum, not only shares the same alcohol percentage as its successor but is also infused with the tangy essence of blood orange and lime, further enhanced by aromatic hints of fresh turmeric and black cardamom, all priced at £50 (equivalent to US$60).
The prevailing trend indicates a mounting inclination towards upscale rum, with industry forecasts predicting the premium rum market to soar to a staggering US$17.6 billion valuation by the year 2027.
