Twin Fin Rum Introduces a Cream Liqueur: A Perfect Blend of Luxury and Innovation

Southwestern Distillery, based in Cornwall, has introduced an exciting addition to its Twin Fin Rum lineup: a luxurious cream liqueur. The new product combines Jamaican pot still rum, Dominican Republic column-still rum, and fresh double cream to create a unique and indulgent flavor profile.

A Taste of Cornwall in Every Sip

Blended at the distillery on the North Cornwall coast, the liqueur captures the essence of Cornish clotted cream, caramelized brown sugar, and a hint of jammy raspberry. This innovation showcases the brand’s dedication to crafting premium products with distinctive flavors.

A Growing Brand with Big Aspirations

Launched in 2020 by master distiller Tarquin Leadbetter as a sister brand to Tarquin’s Gin, Twin Fin Rum has quickly gained traction. Its product range includes spiced rum and cold brew coffee rum liqueur, now complemented by the new cream liqueur.

Entering a Thriving Market

According to The Spirits Business, Leadbetter expressed his excitement about this new venture:
“I’m incredibly proud of Twin Fin Rum’s growth this year. With our national presence in Sainsbury’s, launches into World Duty Free, and partnerships with Turtle Bay Caribbean Restaurants, the timing feels perfect for the Twin Fin Cream Rum Liqueur release.”

He highlighted the appeal of the cream liqueur market, which has grown by 30% in value over the past year in the UK on-trade, driven by shifting consumer preferences for more relaxed, intimate drinking experiences.

A Year of Perfecting Flavor

Developing the cream liqueur recipe took a year of careful refinement. The result is a rich, velvety drink ideal for sipping or mixing into cocktails like Espresso Martinis and Baby Guinness. It also makes for a thoughtful gift.

Leadbetter added, “The feedback has been incredible. We sold out of our first batch online within days of launching.”

Availability and Pricing

The Twin Fin Cream Liqueur, bottled at 17% ABV, is available for £26 (US$32) on the brand’s website, Twin Fin Shop, Tarquin’s Gin Shops, and select restaurants, pubs, and independent retailers.

Southwestern Distillery’s Expanding Portfolio

Beyond its Twin Fin Rum range, Southwestern Distillery offers vodkas under the Connie Glaze name and recently ventured into the alcohol-free market with Tarquin’s Cornish Dry Non-Alcoholic Spirit.
