The Ultimate Awards team is ready for The Ultimate Best Rum Ambassador 2023, starting next May 17th. The competition continues to honor those passionate about rum, promoting this spirit and educating consumers about the industry and especially the brands they stand for.

Best Rum Ambassador is the TUA’s flagship event due to the popularity it has gained so far. In its first edition, the receptivity of the public was very high, as the platform received more than 2,000 votes, the highest participation to date.

In 2022, Mauricio Solórzano, Flor de Caña’s Rum Brand Ambassador, became the winner of this edition. His outstanding work sponsoring the qualities of the rum he represents was visible during the competition and recognized by the voters.

Until now, there are nearly 20 pre-candidates. Among them, TUA will select ambassadors with great trajectories who have worked with their brands for over ten years. Nevertheless, the team will also take into consideration those who, despite having only spent a few years with the brand, in this short time have still managed to leave their mark on the industry.

According to the TUA team, the selection will be a meticulous process, as in the other competitions carried out so far. The main goal is to reward those representatives of the rum industry dedicated to displaying the best of rum.

Being a “People’s Choice” contest, the final decision is in the rum aficionados’ hands. The voting process is very simple. First, access the official website and create your account. Then, choose the candidate of your preference. You have the chance to vote until May 31st. The winners will be announced at the New York Rum Festival, to be held on June 10th, 2023, at the Metropolitan Pavilion.

The Ultimate Awards also invite the general public to participate in the selection stage. If you know a rum brand ambassador who should be part of the competition, send the nomination to theultimateawards@gmail.com. The deadline is May 12th.
