Santa Teresa, a distillery located in the Aragua state of Venezuela and with more than two centuries of history, has presented its masterpiece to the world: Ron Bicentenario. This unique creation is the result of a careful choice of aged rums, from different raw materials and with long maturation periods. Through a process that blends tradition and knowledge, Santa Teresa has managed to produce a drink that represents the essence and legacy of its honored brand.

The historic origin and influence behind the Bicentenario

Ron Bicentenario was born as a special preparation to celebrate the Bicentenario of the sowing of the first sugarcane in the lands of the Hacienda Santa Teresa. The event in 1996 marked a milestone, inspiring the creation of an exceptional blend to celebrate the occasion.

Essential raw materials in the Bicentenario:

Santa Teresa presents the Bicentennial rum, primarily composed of three fundamental raw materials:

The first ingredient comprises a family rum aged over 80 years in barrels sourced from the black forrest, which ceased production due to forest devastation.

The second key ingredient is the “Ron de Capilla”, aged over 80 years in Santa Teresa’s Casa Tovar. Formely the estate’s house until the 1800’s, the Casa Tovar, was transformed into the production facility and the oldest reserves of the hacienda were sheltered in what used to be the chapel.

Skilled blending combines a younger rum aged over 15 years to achieve the Bicentenario’s characteristic balance and flavor.

The ageing process and the creation of the Bicentenario

Ron Bicentenario is the culmination of an extensive 8-year project. Throughout this time, Santa Teresa dedicated itself to crafting not just the perfect rum blend. Additionally, the brand meticulously designed the packaging to reflect the significance and superior quality of this creation.

Meticulous aging selects each batch, ensuring consistency and excellence in every bottle.

The packaging and presentation of the Bicentenario

The Ron Bicentenario comes in a primary case that safeguards the chest containing the bottle. It features a second case for presentation and a third case for the unique design.

In addition, every detail has received meticulous attention to emphasize the importance and exclusivity of this masterpiece by Santa Teresa. The carefully designed packaging conveys the elegance and sophistication that characterizes Ron Bicentenario.

Conclusion

Santa Teresa’s Ron Bicentenario is the result of a perfect combination of tradition, experience and devotion. This exceptional creation celebrates the history and legacy of the distillery, offering rum lovers a unique and captivating experience.
