Pampero Rum has partnered with Fortitude Drinks UK to expand its presence in the UK market. This exclusive distribution agreement marks a strategic move for both companies, reinforcing Fortitude Drinks’ mission to bring high-quality spirits to UK consumers and trade partners.

A Legacy of Authentic Venezuelan Rum

With this partnership, Pampero Rum introduces its renowned range of expressions to the UK: Blanco, Especial, Selección, and Aniversario. Each variety reflects the rich heritage and craftsmanship that have defined Pampero Rum since its inception.

According to a recent article in The Spirits Business, Nick England, managing director of Fortitude Drinks UK, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration:

“Pampero’s legacy of quality and authenticity aligns perfectly with our mission to offer exceptional spirits to UK consumers and partners. We are confident this partnership will drive strong results and further establish Pampero Rum in the competitive UK market.”

Gruppo Montenegro’s Vision for Growth

Gruppo Montenegro, the Italian company that acquired Pampero Rum from Diageo in July 2024, views this partnership as a significant step in its international expansion.

Marco Seminaroti, Europe director of Gruppo Montenegro, emphasized for The Spirits Business the brand’s potential:

“The acquisition of Pampero strengthens our global growth ambitions with a brand renowned for its quality and heritage. As the first Venezuelan rum aged for more than two years, Pampero holds a unique position in the market. We are committed to long-term, sustainable growth and look forward to unlocking its full potential in the UK.”

Expanding Fortitude Drinks’ Premium Spirits Portfolio

This announcement follows Fortitude Spirits Group’s recent rebranding of Hawksbill Caribbean Spiced Rum, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and conservation efforts. By adding Pampero Rum to its portfolio, Fortitude Drinks continues to grow its reputation as a leading distributor of premium spirits.

With this new chapter, Pampero Rum is poised to make a lasting impact on the UK spirits market, offering consumers an authentic taste of Venezuela’s finest rum.
