The brand has been designated as the official rum partner of the unit for the 2024 CPL season as part of the agreement.
The Barbados-based group used its social media accounts to promote the new partnership.
In another Instagram post, the Rum brand stated, “We are thrilled to announce that Mount Gay is the official rum sponsor of the Barbados Royals! As the spirit of Barbados, we couldn’t be prouder to support our home team as they take on the competition.”
Embracing culture, fostering growth, and inspiring new generations in sports, this is Mount Gay’s commitment to action!
Mount Gay Distilleries Ltd. is based in Barbados, the easternmost island in the West Indies, and is the maker of Mount Gay Rum, the oldest commercial rum distillery in the world.
The company’s earliest extant deed dates to 1703. Since 1989, Rémy Cointreau has been the principal stakeholder of Mount Gay Distilleries. With 110 countries where it is distributed, the US is the firm’s main export destination.
