Maggie’s Farm Rum Distillery, a pioneer in the American craft rum renaissance and likely North America’s most-awarded brand of rum, is proud to announce the expanded distribution of two of its most acclaimed products—Maggie’s Farm Falernum Liqueur and Maggie’s Farm Spiced Rum—to New York and New Jersey through a new partnership with Bowler Wine. This exciting development brings two of Maggie’s Farm’s most decorated and unique spirits to a broader audience of discerning bartenders, retailers, and cocktail enthusiasts in two of the country’s largest beverage markets.

Both of these spirits will be featured at the New York Rum Festival on June 7th and Bar Convent Brooklyn on June 10th and 11th at the Maggie’s Farm booth, and also at the New York International Spirits Competition awards ceremony on June 10th at BCB.

Awarded Spirits

Maggie’s Farm Falernum Liqueur and Maggie’s Farm Spiced Rum were awarded 95 points and 93 points, respectively, by the NYISC at this year’s competition. Founder and President, the Master Distiller Tim Russell, will be on hand to accept these awards.

Maggie’s Farm Falernum Liqueur

Maggie’s Farm Falernum Liqueur is a Caribbean-inspired spiced liqueur, made in the Barbados tradition with lime, ginger, and clove. It’s popularly used in classic tiki cocktails like the Corn ‘n’ Oil, Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, and Saturn.

Maggie’s Farm has redefined commercial falernum by using hand-grated lime zest, fresh-pressed ginger root, and toasted cloves on a base of its pot-distilled rum, all while employing a special formulation for shelf stability of these whole, natural ingredients. This off-the-shelf option saves bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts alike time and energy.

“Falernum is one of those esoteric cocktail ingredients that many consumers overlook—until they taste ours. Of our rum and rum liqueur lineup, it’s now standing out as our largest volume driver,” said Tim Russell, Founder and Master Distiller at Maggie’s Farm Rum.

“We’ve built a falernum that stands on its own—spicy, complex, balanced, and at a higher proof than the few other commercially available brands—and the industry has responded in a big way. We’re thrilled to bring it, alongside our equally celebrated spiced rum, to New York and New Jersey through Bowler Wine.”

Other recent awards include:

– New Orleans Spirits Competition/Tales of the Cocktail – Liqueur-of-the-Year (2023)
– American Distilling Inst. – Best-of-Category Spiced Liqueur/Gold Medal (2021)
– International Sugarcane Spirit Awards – Best of Region (Highest-Rated North American “Rum”) (2020)
– SIP Awards – Best-in-Class/Platinum Medal (2018)
– San Francisco World Wine and Spirits – Gold Medal (2018)
– American Distilling Inst. – Best-of-Category (2017), and many more.

Maggie’s Farm Spiced Rum

Maggie’s Farm Spiced Rum is a dry and complex spiced rum 100% pot-distilled from turbinado sugar cane fermentations by Maggie’s Farm at its new state-of-the-art distillery located in Pittsburgh’s South Hills.

Infused with eight different hand-processed ingredients, including Tahitian vanilla bean, fresh-grated orange zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, Maggie’s Farm spiced rum contains no added sweetener for a dry and complex spiced rum. Maggie’s Farm spiced rum has won awards for Best-in-Class three times.
