The man behind SoloRon

1) Bucket List items for this upcoming year.

Don’t have a bucket list but I do want to visit Cuba soon. Both of my parents are Cubans and I would really like to go but I want to go with them. They still have not returned since they left in the 60’s.

2) Biggest achievement you personally feel you have accomplish for the rum industry.

I’m just a regular joe who likes rum….but I do feel accomplish every time I see a tourist at a local liquor store and trying to decide what brand of rum they want to buy and I give them some advice and guide them in the right direction.
Plus, teaching family and friends more about rum and the many brands, varieties and aging methods  that exist.

I have a few and they are very simple recipes:

  • Don Q Crystal with Diet Coke
  • Don Q Añejo with Coconut water

  • Plantation Dark Rum + Ginger Beer + Splash of Coconut water
  • Dark & Stormy but only with Mountgay rum
  • Rum Old Fashioned
