FIBAR Valladolid has established itself as the benchmark event in the Hospitality sector, dedicated mainly to the beverage and distillates industry. This year, the festival returns with its 11th edition, promising an unparalleled educational and training experience. We sat down with Juan Valls, one of the brains behind this groundbreaking festival, to learn more about what we can expect this year.
Juan talks about how the idea of creating FIBAR Valladolid arose in the face of a palpable need in the sector: the lack of events focused on professional training and the launch of new products. “Spain needed an event like this, as a professional meeting point and training access,” says Juan.
FIBAR’s main mission is to facilitate training for professionals, seeking to improve national standards year after year. The festival aims to consolidate the Spanish industry, making it more solid and prepared.
Over the years, FIBAR has experienced exponential growth, both in brand and product investment and in the number of visitors, reaching nearly 8,000 in the last edition. Juan emphasizes that the festival has maintained its original philosophy, focused on product information and training.
FIBAR differs from other events in the sector by being a specialized event, focused mainly on premium spirits and beverages, and paying special attention to a “liquid gastronomy”.
Among this year’s novelties, Juan highlights the thematization of the rooms and the incorporation of a multi-channel discussion space, “Agora”. In addition, a particular focus has been placed on training, with more than 8 simultaneous training spaces offering a multidisciplinary educational experience.
FIBAR has renewed its formats, seeking greater didactic interaction. The workshops and trainings will offer a range of topics to satisfy the curiosity of visitors, being attentive to the news and trends of each year.
Juan tells us that FIBAR facilitates participation through agreements with hotels and discounts on transport, seeking to make the experience as comfortable as possible for participants and exhibitors.
In conclusion, Juan Valls emphasizes the positive impact that FIBAR hopes to have on the professional development of attendees, thus contributing to the growth and improvement of the industry in Spain.
