Disney World Unveils ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Tavern for 2025

Before it became a blockbuster film franchise or the subject of a viral Lonely Island song, Pirates of the Caribbean began as a humble Disneyland ride in 1967. Designed with the input of Walt Disney himself, the attraction became an iconic part of the theme park experience. Now, Disney is bringing the pirate spirit back to its theme park origins with an exciting new venture.

A Pirate Tavern for All Ages

Disney World plans to introduce a Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern in late 2025. Inspired by the legendary attraction, this themed bar and restaurant promises to be a destination for all ages. Much like Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the tavern will serve alcohol, making it a must-visit spot for adults seeking an immersive experience.

Expect the menu to feature tropical cocktails brimming with rum—a nod to the quintessential pirate beverage. While specific drink offerings remain under wraps, it’s safe to say the tavern will deliver pirate-themed libations and a vibrant atmosphere.

When Will It Open?

Though Disney has not confirmed an exact opening date, insider reports suggest the tavern will debut in late 2025. A since-deleted press release hinted at a Fall or Winter launch. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World in 2025, hold off on your pirate-themed drinking plans until then for the full experience.

What to Expect from the Tavern

The Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern aims to create an immersive environment for fans of the ride and the franchise. With its combination of family-friendly dining and spirited cocktails, it’s set to attract Disney enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

Mark Your Calendar

If you’ve ever dreamed of living like a pirate, the Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern at Disney World will give you that chance. Gather your crew, sharpen your appetite, and prepare to toast to the pirate’s life when this unique venue opens its doors in late 2025.
