Cubaney: The Premium Rum of Oliver & Oliver

Oliver & Oliver is a luxury brand that, for almost 30 years, has recalled the magnificence of idyllic and ancestral Cuba. In 1995, Pedro Ramón López Oliver founded the distillery, which later released “Cubaney,” to produce premium rums in the Dominican Republic.

Cubaney is a robust rum that honors Oliver’s Cuban origins. The spirit is aged using the solera method. It offers an incomparable portfolio of expressions that, for six generations, have commemorated the Oliver family’s rum tradition. The wood in each presentation is also remarkable, and quality is its hallmark.

The profile of the Cubaney line of rums is persistent, balanced, and full of great character. They rhyme with the aromas and flavors of leather, oranges, and wood impregnated with port, molasses, coconut, and coffee. The labels available are 3-Year White Silver, 5-Year Aged Reserve, 8-Year Solera Reserve, 21-Year Exquisite, 30-Year Centenario, and Spiced Solera.

Oliver & Oliver is a company based in the Dominican Republic that owns various brands of brandy and liqueurs. Known worldwide for its quality, it has inherited its know-how from the formulas developed in Cuba in the 19th century and brought with it when it emigrated to the island of Hispaniola.

The war brought Juanillo Oliver to Cuba. The conflict saw the original Oliver & Oliver distilleries destroyed and the Oliver family scattered throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. In 1987, that passion drew the Oliver family back to Cuba. It was that passion that helped the family uncover its heritage. Currently, the brand has a presence in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Russia.

Nowadays, Oliver & Oliver produces high-end, artisanal, robust rums. Cubaney, Guantanamera, Cubanacan, and Opthimus are the company’s leading brands, combining Cuban traditions with Dominican influences. They are pioneers in using the solera method in the rum industry.
