Mark Anthony Brands, known for its popular White Claw hard seltzer, has introduced a new product to the UK market: Cloud House, a coffee-infused rum. The new spirit, crafted with a unique blend of Colombian flavors, officially launched on Amazon today, October 7th.

Authentic Colombian Origin

Cloud House isn’t just a name—it represents the roots of this rum. The Arabica coffee used in the spirit is sourced from a farm called Cloud House, situated in the picturesque Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. The rum itself is produced by a local Colombian distillery, adding authenticity to every bottle.

According to Just Drink Magazine, Eve Heffernan, Global Brand Manager for Emerging Spirits at Mark Anthony Brands, shared her enthusiasm for the launch: “Cloud House truly captures the authentic spirit of Colombia. Our rum, aged by the beach, where the sea mist adds sumptuous salted caramel notes, combined with the boldness of Colombian coffee, offers an unexpected, uplifting flavor with each sip.”

A New Choice for Coffee and Cocktail Enthusiasts

The company is confident that coffee lovers and cocktail enthusiasts will welcome this new addition to the spirits market. Heffernan added: “We’re excited to bring Cloud House to the UK, and we know cocktail and coffee lovers alike will embrace discovering this unique and delicious new liqueur.”

Building a Diverse Spirits Portfolio

In addition to Cloud House, the company’s portfolio includes Bearface Canadian whisky and the Irish whiskey brand Glendalough. The introduction of a coffee-infused rum highlights the brand’s strategy of exploring unique and innovative spirits.

Beyond Hard Seltzer: A Look at Recent Innovations

In 2022, Mark Anthony Brands expanded beyond hard seltzer by launching a White Claw-branded vodka. This move was made possible by a change in US regulations in 2020, allowing vodka to have distinctive flavors. Previously, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Board (TTB) required vodka to be “without distinctive character, aroma, taste, or color.” With this regulatory shift, Mark Anthony Brands saw an opportunity to introduce a new flavored vodka line under the White Claw name.

Additionally, the company ventured into the non-alcoholic segment last year, debuting White Claw 0% in the US. The alcohol-free version of the popular seltzer was launched in four flavors, offering a new option for fans looking to enjoy the brand without the alcohol content.

In sum, with the introduction of Cloud House, Mark Anthony Brands continues to diversify its product range and solidify its position as an innovator in the spirits industry. As the company explores new flavors and markets, it will be interesting to see how Cloud House performs in the competitive UK market and beyond.
