To mark the 60th anniversary of James Bond’s first movie appearance, Blackwell Rum made a special, limited-edition bottle of rum. The Blackwell Rum 007 Collector’s Edition comes in a sleek black bottle with a gold label that features the iconic 007 logo.

The premium rum was made with Jamaican sugarcane, distilled, and blended by J. Wray & Nephew’s Master Blender, Joy Spence, in Jamaica. Then, the spirit was tropically aged for two years to make it smooth without the woody notes being too strong. Finally, it is bottled at 40% ABV.

This fine rum has a complex flavor profile. It consists of a dark rum character with smooth and light body notes of gold. A soft and sweet entrance with vanilla and caramel flavors, toasted marshmallows, and a natural spice finish make it perfect for sipping on its own or mixing into classic cocktails.

The 60th Anniversary Collector’s Edition is available exclusively through Passion Spirits. It features a special bottle of Blackwell Fine Jamaican Rum (70 cl / 750 ml) in a hand-numbered case with the iconic Dr. No scene that launched the James Bond franchise. It also includes a personalized, signed note from Chris Blackwell.

About Blackwell Rum

Blackwell Rum was created by Chris Blackwell, a legendary Jamaican music producer who founded Island Records. Blackwell’s family has been involved in the rum-making business for generations. He has used his knowledge and expertise to create a unique blend of aged Jamaican rums that reflect the island’s history and culture.

Now, what is the connection between Blackwell Rum and James Bond? Fleming was a close friend of Blackwell’s family. In fact, Chris Blackwell owns GoldenEye, Ian Fleming’s (aka James Bond creator and author) villa, where all the James Bond novels were written. Fleming often visited Jamaica, and he was known to enjoy the local rum.
