This summer, Aluna Rum in Poland becomes a reality as Charter Brands names Unique Spirits the official distributor of the brand in the country. Known for championing independent producers, Unique Spirits will bring Aluna’s full range to both the on-trade and off-trade markets.

Unique Spirits Sees Opportunity in a Growing Market

Mikołaj Rzeźnik, owner of Unique Spirits, expressed confidence in the brand’s potential:

“Poland is a dynamic and evolving market, where rum is steadily carving out its place. Consumers are becoming increasingly educated, making more informed and deliberate choices about their preferred spirits.”

He added that Aluna Coconut, the brand’s flagship expression, delivers exactly what today’s consumers want—authenticity and vibrant flavor.

“Few can resist a vibrant taste of juicy coconut,” Rzeźnik said in his interview with The Spirits Business.

Aluna Rum’s Portfolio Brings Variety to the Polish Scene

Aluna Rum offers more than just a tropical escape. In addition to its best-selling Coconut Rum, the portfolio includes Tropica, a bold blend infused with pandan leaf, spiced pineapple, lemongrass, and galangal. The brand recently introduced Clara, a clean and versatile white rum designed for modern mixology.

Since joining Charter Brands’ export portfolio in 2023, Aluna has expanded to over 20 international markets, each time emphasizing flavor-forward craftsmanship and modern branding.

A Strategic Fit for a Premium Spirits Market

Sinead van Zijl, Business Development Manager at Charter Brands, sees the Polish launch as more than just another business deal:

“We’re genuinely excited to welcome Unique Spirits as Aluna Rum’s official importer and distributor in Poland. More than a commercial partnership, this is a meeting of passionate spirits aficionados.”

She praised Unique Spirits for their curated portfolio and dedication to artisan spirits, including rare single-cask whiskies and boutique rums:

“Their expertise in curating standout brands aligns perfectly with Aluna’s ethos,” she noted in The Spirits Business.

Why Aluna Rum in Poland Matters

With Poland’s spirits market projected to exceed US$3 billion, the timing is ideal. The demand for premium and craft spirits continues to rise, and Aluna’s coconut-forward, tropical expressions bring something fresh to the shelves. By leveraging Unique Spirits’ established relationships and market insight, Aluna Rum in Poland is poised to attract rum enthusiasts and cocktail lovers alike.

By launching Aluna Rum in Poland, Charter Brands taps into a market that craves quality, innovation, and authenticity. With Unique Spirits as a passionate local partner, this collaboration brings a bold, tropical spirit to one of Europe’s fastest-growing premium rum audiences.
