Barceló Incorporates Imperial Maple Cask Rum into His Rare Blends Collection
Ron Barceló recently released Barceló Imperial Maple Cask, a new distillate resting on maple wood that is part of the Rare Blends Collection, a series of premium rums. In order to provide customers with unique and exclusive sensations, Barceló drew inspiration for its production from the artisan process of distillation in copper stills.
The craftsmanship and expertise in the world of distillates and aging have been combined to create unique flavors and aromas in the rums in the series. According to Barceló’s Maestro Ronero Eduardo Galíndez, with the inclusion of stills and maple wood, the distillery has achieved a product of highly distinguishable quality and uniqueness among Dominican rums.
Barceló Imperial Maple Cask is described as an exquisite liquid with a dark amber brown color and reddish tones that recall the beauty of maple leaves and the peculiar ocher color of the stills, from which the unique alcohols that derive from caramel aromas are obtained.
Regarding its tasting notes, the Barceló Imperial Maple Cask Rum initially feels sweet on the palate. Then, it outlines flavors of wood and nuts with a long, silky finish. This expression depicts an unctuous body in the glass with thick, long trails that create lines in the glass.
In addition to Barceló Imperial Maple Cask, Ron Barceló has created another new high-quality rum within its Rare Blends Collection series: Barceló Imperial Porto Cask, which has rested in barrels that were once used to age Port wine to obtain a unique and unexpected finish in harmony with the senses.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, Ron Barceló has stood out for manufacturing rums of the highest quality. With this launch, the Rare Blends Collection anticipates the expectations of the world rum market, with an audience increasingly interested in experiencing exclusive and unusual sensations. Barceló Imperial Maple Cask is now available at selected points of sale and liquor stores.
