Tanduay, the iconic Filipino rum brand, celebrates another victory as its Asian Rum Silver clinches a gold medal at the 2024 San Diego Spirits Festival in California. Known as a “Cocktail Cultural” event, the San Diego Spirits Festival draws in spirits lovers and experts from around the globe, marking its 15th year of spotlighting the industry’s finest.

Dedication to Quality and Craftsmanship

“This award highlights the dedication behind Tanduay rums, from selecting quality heirloom sugarcane to the intricate aging and packaging process,” shares Roy Kristoffer Sumang, Tanduay’s International Business Development Manager. He emphasizes Tanduay’s commitment to delivering the finest Filipino rum to its customers worldwide.

Award-Winning Flavor and Smoothness

The Tanduay Asian Rum Silver is no stranger to accolades. It previously earned a double gold medal at The Fifty Best’s Best White Rum Awards in New York (2020) and a gold medal at the RumXP International Tasting Competition during the Rum Renaissance Festival (2014). This smooth rum ages up to five years in bourbon barrels, creating a unique profile with notes of green ripe fruits, burnt sugar, mandarin, and vanilla. It’s crafted to be enjoyed on its own or as a versatile cocktail ingredient.

A Landmark Year for Tanduay

“This year’s award holds special meaning as Tanduay celebrates 170 years of heritage and innovation,” adds Sumang, expressing gratitude for the recognition at San Diego Spirits Festival.

Expanding Global Reach for Tanduay Rum

With a strong following in the Philippines, Tanduay continues to grow internationally, now available in markets across North and South America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. This award only reinforces its standing as a world-renowned spirit, blending tradition with a modern twist.
