Sunnyside Expands Its RTD Line With New Spiced Rum and Ginger Beer

The UK-based company, Sunnyside Drinks, has introduced its third canned cocktail, a bold spiced rum and ginger beer blend that pushes its all-natural ethos forward. According to FoodBev Media, the brand aims to elevate the rum-and-ginger experience with a spirit base crafted specifically for this release.

A Custom Caribbean Rum Built for Spiced Rum and Ginger Beer

To create a deeper, more expressive profile, Sunnyside partnered with Caribbean producers to blend a 100% custom spiced rum. This spirit anchors the new spiced rum and ginger beer product with layers of natural spices and fruits. Founder Christian Heath emphasized the intention behind this decision in his statement to FoodBev Media:
“As an all-natural drinks company, we didn’t want to use an off-the-shelf rum; we wanted to create something bespoke that felt worthy of the Sunnyside brand.”

All-Natural Ingredients Continue to Define Spiced Rum and Ginger Beer

Sunnyside’s signature ginger beer drives the mixer side of the cocktail with organic ginger, fresh lemons and real lime juice. This formula maintains the brand’s commitment to clean-label production—meaning no artificial sweeteners, preservatives or flavorings. These choices position the spiced rum and ginger beer release as a premium, real-food option within the RTD space.

A Growing Portfolio Strengthens the Spiced Rum and Ginger Beer Category

The launch follows the strong market performance of Sunnyside’s other products: its Original Ginger Beer, the category-first Tropical Ginger Beer released last year and the UK’s first Mulled Alcoholic Ginger Beer launched last winter. With this momentum, the new spiced rum and ginger beer can expands the brand’s footprint with a more elevated, spirit-forward alternative.

Consumers can purchase the new spiced rum and ginger beer at select retailers in the UK. Packs of six retail for £16.85 ($22.26 approximately).
