Rum Program of the Puerto Rican Government to takeover California with Daiquiris
Together with its subsidiary Rums of Puerto Rico, the present government’s business and development agency is preparing a trip to the United States’ Gold Coast to promote delicious rums and daiquiris.
Rums of Puerto Rico and TheRumLab are teaming together to promote all of their rums in the cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles. Our plan is to attend the Rum Festival in each of the two major cities on the schedule. Also, be sure to stop by some of the local rum bars.
Beginning on August 28th, the SeaMerchants event will be held at Caña Rum Bar in downtown Los Angeles. Rums of Puerto Rico is proud to announce that Joy Figueroa, the current general manager of Cleaver Butchered Meats & Classic Cocktails, Las Vegas’ Best U.S. Restaurant Bar 2024, will be their honorary ambassador.
In the Haas Building in Downtown Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Rum Festival Pop-Up Rooftop Edition will commence on August 29th. Aside from taking part in the “Puerto Rican Rum in Tiki Cocktails & Beyond” seminar, Rums of Puerto Rico will have two booth spaces at this event.
As a result of the government program’s funding, Sergio Reyes, the global brand ambassador for Don Q—Puerto Rican Rum, and Bret Pittman, co-founder of Ron Rincon, will be joined on the tour.
Starting on August 31st, the SOMARTS Cultural Center in San Francisco will host the San Francisco Rum Festival and Congress. Prestigious speakers from all over the globe will gather for the Rum Congress on the first day of the event. The next day, during the official San Francisco Rum Festival, there will be a Grand Tasting.
For Rums of Puerto Rico, the role of brand ambassador will fall on Alexx Mouzouris, an experienced figure in the rum sector and a former global ambassador for Serrallés Distillery. All day long, he will be concocting mouthwatering daiquiris and offering neat pours.
While in San Francisco, you may experience something new at the DaiquiriMANIA. Set to the wistful melodies of throwback music, DaiquiriMANIA will be a raucous homage to the traditional daiquiri drink, updated with a creative twist. The Rum Program of the Puerto Rican Government will be the presenting sponsor of this activation.
