Shana Kanesha Rajahram is an easy-going, fun-loving mom, who is passionate about her craft and mixology. Born and raised in Central, Trinidad, and Tobago, Shana knew from an early age that she was destined to be a mixologist. In 2012 she was offered an opportunity to follow her dream when she was employed as a waitress and bartender, and to turn a dream into reality, she worked countless hours at the “cocktail dojo” perfecting both the Caribbean and International classics.

Her passion for the craft allowed her to discover Angostura and the deep heritage of the brand. Shana is fueled with the passion to fight for what she loved, in a male-dominated industry. Today she is honored to have the opportunity to work very closely with young bartenders, imparting her knowledge to them in hopes that they would be encouraged to live their dream.

After her victory at the “Taste of the Caribbean” competition in 2018, one of Shana’s goals materialized when she started her own business “Mixtress Professional Bar Services,” providing premium bar services for special events weddings, and corporate events, cocktail events & food pairing / consulting. Shana’s love for her craft has given her an in-depth appreciation of its history, Its evolution of the cocktail, and its future “Every cocktail begins with a great spirit.” Learn more about Shana in this interview:
