Renegade Rum’s Innovative Range Arrives in the U.S.
Renegade Rum, an innovative distillery from the Caribbean island of Grenada, has introduced a new range of natural, aged and unaged rums to the U.S. market. This project focuses on how terroir, cane variety, and distillation style influence the natural flavors of rum. The flagship range includes two aged rums under the Cuvée concept: All-Island Cuvée: Nova and Single Farm Cuvée: Dunfermline, along with an unaged option, Cuvée: Aura.
Renegade Rum stands out for its radical approach, blending wine inspiration and whisky practices in rum production. Led by Mark Reynier, the distillery employs innovative distillation techniques, processing only fresh sugar cane, without molasses, from individual farms, focusing on a single terroir and field at a time. The range includes three unique rums aged in Grenada in high-quality French and American oak barrels.
Mark Reynier, CEO of Renegade Rum, expresses his excitement about the evolution of their products and the introduction of their full range, from rums from a single field to complex cuvées that highlight Grenada’s diverse terroirs. They aim to offer authenticity and transparency to spirits enthusiasts and single malt whisky lovers.
The new flagship range consists of one unaged and three aged rums, noted for their complexity and depth. Each bottle comes with a unique “CaneCode,” providing unprecedented levels of transparency and traceability. Recently, some of these rums have received significant recognition in international competitions, underscoring their quality and uniqueness.
The rums will be available in December in 700 ml bottles in select markets, imported by MORF Brands, a luxury beverage importer based in Texas. These rums are natural, without added color or sugar, and are not chill-filtered, maintaining their purest character.
