Kōloa Rum Unveils New Kaua‘i Aged Rum Release

Kōloa Rum, a renowned craft distiller based on Kaua‘i, has launched its latest premium offering: Kōloa Kaua‘i Single-Batch Aged Rum. This small-batch expression continues the brand’s tradition of showcasing the rich natural resources and island character of Hawaii.

Crafted with Purpose and Island Influence

Distillers at Kōloa Rum produce this Kaua‘i aged rum from pure cane sugar, aging it for a minimum of five years in carefully selected charred American White Oak barrels. Every batch develops in the tropical climate of Kalaheo, where time, humidity, and the island’s volcanic soil contribute to the spirit’s unique flavor.

Bottled at 92 proof, this aged rum features deep amber tones and a complex aromatic profile. Notes of sugarcane blend with hints of oak, orange peel, and roasted nuts. The finish offers a silky mouthfeel and elevated viscosity that reflects its tropical maturation.

A Spirit That Reflects Its Environment

Each bottle of Kaua‘i aged rum tells a story shaped by its environment. The ocean air, the rhythm of island life, and the fertile volcanic soil all influence the rum’s depth and character. This terroir-driven approach makes the rum not just a drink, but a sensory expression of Kaua‘i.

Expansion Into California with New Distribution

Kōloa Rum also announced a strategic partnership with Reyes Beverage Group to expand its footprint in California, a key market for the brand.

“California has always been a vital market for Kōloa Rum, and this transition ensures we can continue building momentum in the state,” said Bob Gunter, President & CEO of Kōloa Rum Company, in a press release originally quoted by Fred Minnick. “We’re pleased to partner with Reyes Beverage Group, whose strong presence and proven capabilities in the market will support our continued growth. We remain grateful to RNDC for their longstanding partnership and look forward to continuing our relationship with them in other markets.”

Pricing and Availability

Kōloa Kaua‘i Single-Batch Aged Rum is now available at select online retailers and through the brand’s store locator. A 750ml bottle retails for $72.99.
