Nicaraguan producer Flor de Caña has revealed an early look at a refreshed brand identity, marking a new phase for the house as it enters a strategic distribution partnership in Italy with Fratelli Branca Distillerie. According to The Spirits Business, the collaboration will introduce Flor de Caña’s full portfolio of premium rums to the Italian market.

Flor de Caña’s new design meets a strategic distribution move

Through this alliance, Fratelli Branca will distribute the complete range of Flor de Caña rums across Italy. At the same time, the brand has teased updated packaging that reflects its evolving identity. While Flor de Caña has not yet disclosed full details, it plans to unveil more information about the new look in the coming months, as reported by The Spirits Business.

Flor de Caña’s new design rooted in shared values

Beyond market expansion, the partnership rests on aligned philosophies. Both Flor de Caña and Fratelli Branca operate as family-led businesses, now under fifth-generation leadership. According to The Spirits Business, the two companies share a commitment to long-term vision, craftsmanship, and a mindset of innovating while preserving tradition. These common values aim to support stronger brand positioning and long-lasting relationships in Italy.

Flor de Caña’s new design reflects a sustainability-first legacy

Founded in 1890, Flor de Caña has built its reputation on sustainability and transparency. The brand distills its rum using 100% renewable energy, captures all CO₂ emissions during fermentation, and has planted more than one million trees since 2005. It also holds carbon-neutral certification. As The Spirits Business notes, Flor de Caña celebrated its 135th anniversary last year with the launch of its oldest expression to date, the 35 Year Rum, underscoring how heritage and innovation continue to shape its future.
