Major distilleries
- Hacienda La Caravedo: Located in the Ica Valley, this is the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Americas, established in 1684.
- Cartavio: A prominent Peruvian rum producer with a wide range of products, including the high-quality Ron Cartavio Añejo Superior. It is produced by companies like Destilerías Unidas.
- Millonario: This distillery is known for its quality rums, produced in a wooden column and marketed internationally through brands like La Maison du Rhum.
- Yanamono Rum Distillery: Located in the Amazon Basin, it offers a unique experience in the jungle.
- Don Guerra Distillery: Another Amazonian distillery that uses a traditional horse-powered press to make its rum.
Craft and smaller distilleries
- London to Lima Distillery: Near Lima, this craft distillery offers tours where visitors can see the rum-making process and taste different ages straight from the barrel.
- Lima Distillery Company: This company creates spirits that it markets as “Ambassadors for Peru,” with a focus on telling the story of the country’s culture and heritage through its products.
