EL SALVADOR
El Salvador has only one rum distillery, Licorera Cihuatán, located in the Cihuatán Valley. Established in 2004, it is a subsidiary of Ingenio La Cabaña, a sugar mill that has been operating for over a century. The distillery oversees the entire rum-making process, from growing sugarcane to bottling, and produces various brands under the name Ron Cihuatán.
