Bounty Rum Notting Hill Carnival Returned with Bold Activations
Mangrove Global brought Bounty Rum Notting Hill Carnival celebrations to London once again on 24–25 August. The Saint Lucian rum brand hosted two vibrant floats, sponsored after parties, and activated in bars across London and other UK cities.
Cultural ambassador Natanni St Omer, runner-up of Saint Lucia’s Queen of the Bands competition, led Bounty’s signature yellow floats. Revellers who joined the procession enjoyed unlimited food and Bounty cocktails.
Collaborations Strengthen the Carnival Experience
This year’s Bounty Rum Notting Hill Carnival activations featured partnerships with Xtreme Mas Band and Lagniappe Mas Band, both owned by Saint Lucians, as well as the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority. Together, they aimed to showcase Caribbean revelry to a wider audience.
Attendees could also purchase themed costumes from the two bands, designed around the concepts of Pulse and Awakening Rebirth.
In addition, Bounty has teamed up with Padnas, a Saint Lucian-owned fresh fruit cocktail brand, to create three limited-edition drinks available exclusively during the carnival.
Bigger, Bolder, Better for 2025
Ashera Goonewardene, brand ambassador of Bounty Rum, explained to The Spirits Business:
“Each year for Notting Hill Carnival, our aim is to go bigger, bolder, and better. Bounty and Saint Lucia are entirely intertwined, and there really is no better place to celebrate that culture than at Carnival.
We also saw how well-received Bounty and carnival celebrations were in other parts of the UK last year – so we’ve really ramped that up with fresh activations in venues and cities across the UK. If you want a taste of the festivities, there’s only one spirit you should be topping up your glass with this August.”
Bar Takeovers and Exclusive Prizes
During the Bounty Rum Notting Hill Carnival, bars across London served cocktails in eco-friendly paper cups. Among the 10,000 cups, some featured QR codes giving fans the chance to win a trip to Saint Lucia.
The festivities continued with after parties at The Beachcomber Tiki Bar and Notting Hill Arts Club. The Arts Club lineup included Jamie Rodigan, Sandra Omari, Rebel Clash, Liam Bailey, and Joe Armon-Jones.
Meanwhile, Bounty expanded its presence with takeovers in Leicester’s St Martin’s Square, including 33CankStreet, Tonne Bar, and Crafty St Martin’s. Activations also extended to venues across the UK, from Glasgow to Norwich.
A Growing Legacy for Bounty Rum
Mangrove Global first brought Bounty to Notting Hill Carnival in 2024 with the M2K Mas band. Since then, the brand has continued to grow its cultural footprint.
Earlier this year, St Lucia Distillers—the island’s only distillery and producer of Bounty, Chairman’s Reserve, Admiral Rodney, and Denros rums—secured Geographical Indication (GI) status in a landmark ruling. This recognition strengthens the authenticity and heritage of Bounty Rum worldwide.
With the Bounty Rum Notting Hill Carnival returning stronger than ever, the brand continues to showcase Saint Lucian culture through music, food, and, of course, rum.
