Aluna Rum will shift its UK distribution to Brand Tap Group starting 1 January 2026, marking a major transition after eight years with Mangrove UK, according to Bar Magazine.
A Strategic Shift in Aluna Rum UK Distribution
Co-Founder Heather Graham reflected on the brand’s relationship with Mangrove, telling Bar Magazine:
“We have been privileged to have worked with Mangrove since its launch in 2017. They have done a fantastic job helping us to seed and build the brand in the UK.”
She highlighted how Mangrove helped Aluna Rum secure placements across Michelin-starred restaurants, cruise liners, premium bars, pubs, hotels, and casual dining chains. As the market evolves, the brand identified the need for “structural changes” to support the next stage of growth.
Brand Tap Expands Its Role in Aluna Rum UK Distribution
Graham also addressed the long-standing relationship with Brand Tap Group. She noted that the company already supported the brand through production, NPD support, and bottling services. Now, Brand Tap will take on a full end-to-end role—overseeing production, bottling, storage, sales, and logistics.
According to her comments in Bar Magazine, this expansion “delivers significant opportunities and efficiencies on both sides whilst guaranteeing uninterrupted supply.
Brand Tap Group’s Growth Strengthens Aluna Rum UK Distribution
Founded by Chris Sadler, Brand Tap operates as an independent, family-owned business with more than 150 years of brewing and distilling expertise. Known for their focus on sustainability and quality, they manage their own portfolio—Wildjac, Mother of Pearl Gin, Evangelista Liqueurs and Marco Pierre White’s Gin—while supporting contract bottling for multiple brands.
The company will open a new 40,000 sq ft facility near Kidderminster in early 2026, reinforcing its ability to handle the demands of the expanding Aluna Rum UK distribution plan.
