Summer is coming, and what better way to enjoy it than with authentic spiced rum? This is why we bring you a list of some great spiced rums to combine with your cocktails during the holidays. Hope you enjoy our blurb.

1. Lemon Hart Blackpool Spiced Rum

Lemon Hart Blackpool Spiced is a crafted British-style dark spiced rum from Guyana. Its complex profile expertly balances Bourbon oak notes of exotic dried fruits, cinnamon, freshly ground nutmeg, cloves, and ginger resting on a warm vanilla swirl.

Blackpool is bottled at 43% ABV to enhance the complexities of the naturally occurring spice notes. This is what makes this spirit unique, offering an exceptionally smooth, remarkable experience.

2. Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum

CaneRock is a blended rum from Jamaica made from traditional local rums infused with natural spices and fruits (Madagascan vanilla pod, Jamaican ginger, and Caribbean coconut). Each of these spices is infused separately to fully express all its aromas.

After being infused, the rum spends a few months in ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. This particular type of fortified wine from Jerez, Spain, is intensely and naturally sweet, with notes of honey and candied fruits. This final touch gives our rum rare complexity and length.

Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum has a rich and unique character with sweet vanilla notes, dry fruits, and delicate oak tannins. Without a doubt, this is an impressive expression indeed, suitable for sipping neat or upgrading your rum cocktails.

Overall, Canerock is a fantastic rum created by the team at Maison Ferrand, made from several high esters—5 to 10 years old, distilled in pot stills, and then in columns at the Clarendon and Long Pond distilleries. This blend of spices took over 90 attempts to arrive at the perfect recipe, featuring elegance, deliciousness, and power.

3. Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum

Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum from St Lucia begins with the original Chairman’s Reserve steeped with “Bois Bandé,” a local Caribbean bark culturally known for its aphrodisiac qualities. This rum is a blend of Coffey and pot still rums aged and finished with 100% natural ingredients, paying tribute to Saint-Lucia’s genuine tradition for spiced rum.

It is aged separately by batch and type of still in ex-Bourbon barrels, then blended and rested in oak vats for six additional months. Local fruits and spices, such as cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, clove, allspice, and lemon and orange peels, are added over the final six months of finishing.

4. Don Q Oak Barrel Spiced

Don Q Oak Barrel Spiced is an extraordinary blend of Puerto Rican rums aged at least three years in American white oak barrels. This premium rum has warm, rich, golden hues and a smooth, robust texture with noticeable legs. Spices like vanilla, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, and caramel slowly give way to oaky notes and a touch of toasted coffee. It is a spiced rum unlike any other, perfect served over ice or in your favorite rum cocktail.

5. FOURSQUARE Spiced Rum

FOURSQUARE Spiced Rum is a delicious, natural spiced rum from Foursquare Rum Distillery in St. Philip, Barbados, bottled without any sweetener for a dry, spicy flavor. There is an immediate fragrance of star anise, vanilla, cloves, and cinnamon, with some orange following along. On the palate, fresh anise comes through prominently, developing into a complex array of sweet Caribbean spices with a great balance between the spices and herbs; it finishes with a slight ginger kick.

One of the best-spiced rums on the market, Foursquare is a delicious Bajan rum. It is excellent for mixing, or you may try it in a long drink with ginger ale or fruity tonic water.

6. Bayou Spiced Rum

Bayou Spiced Rum is infused with a delicate blend of spices inspired by Louisianan Creole baking. These include three styles of vanilla, cinnamon, and sweet figs. The spirit rests for up to 30 days with Creole spices to impart a big flavor and amber color.

Bayou Spiced Rum is locally crafted using Louisiana sugarcane molasses and produced by the oldest operating American sugar mill since 1829. After fermentation, the rum is distilled in one of the world’s finest copper pot still systems.

This rum features a sweet aroma of cinnamon and banana on the nose. A complex blend of maple, clove, banana, allspice, vanilla, and pepper is on the palate. It finishes with a full mouth complexity with lingering notes of Creole baking spices. You can enjoy it in a cocktail or neat.
